Outputs
An area of trees that absorbs the given amount of CO2e per year:
- Unit for the given area (m2 per year)
- The area of trees needed to absorb the given amount of kg CO2e submitted
Calculations
Based on the work of Barlett et al (2020), we have calculated the average amount of CO2e that one sq. metre of forest can absorb. We use this conversion factor to obtain the area of trees required to absorb a given amount of CO2e.
